Answer» Hello all, I just solved a few issues with my computer. Under the LAST thread"monitor shadows". Thanks to all who contributed! I have a new question. If I am having psu issues, is it worth it to just replace the power SUPPLY? Is it even possible? I also have power issues at the outlets in my house. Brown outs, power outages(very brief computer boots right back up), lightning in the summer What is a UPS and can one help me? TIA Mike For one, if your power supply is going bad, you can get a new one and install it. secondly, a UPS WOULD help you, becuase it acts as a "battery" for your desktop, so if the power goes out, the computer is still getting electricity, but for a limited time...
