Answer» i was asked to install xp on a FRIENDS pc for which i did, but we are having a few problems with recieving the updates, it goes to update then says that KB898461 and installer 3.1 updates could not be instsalled i can not think of waht it could be i have been over the same process of INSTALLING os's before and DONE it many time ( i dont think that it is ANYTHING i have done ) it is XP pro sp2 850mhz cpu mobo- kobian kob740 FDMX 382 sdram many thanks all the best cheers simshi Whose copy of XP is this ? ? ?i am USING the copy that the owner gave me, Try This
