Answer» Happy HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! I received a Macbook PRO, as a gift this holiday season, and wanted to upgrade a few components of it. I heard awhile back that the only hardware that will work in a mac is apple hardware. Is this true? Are there certain components that need to be apple and some that don't? In that scenario above, which parts would I be able to replace with non apple hardware? You can change the hard drive & RAM, but that's about it. It is hardware specific, like a PC laptop is. You can't just replace the VIDEO SCREEN or the motherboard with just anything. Same with a Mac. Alan <><
