Answer»

Hi everyone hope you can help me i have a packard bell IXTREME GOLD MC 1807 desktop and i want to upgrade everything please helpWait, let me get my screwdriver.Allan, was that sarcasm?
Upgrade options are poor, by today's standards for a home system.

The only hope for that PC is the Socket LGA775
Quote

Socket 775, also called Socket T or LGA775, is a Land Grid Array (LGA) socket used for the most recent generations of desktop Intel microprocessors starting from Pentium 4 and up to CORE 2 Quad / Core 2 Extreme families. The socket LGA775 supports Intel CPUs from 1.8 to 3.8 GHZ with Front-Side Bus frequencies ranging from 533 MHz to 1600 MHz. This socket superseded socket 478.
So maybe you can get a dual core CPU.
The memory max is 2MB.
The video option is AGP only.

By the time you buy a dual core, add memory and get GOOD video card, you could be into $250 for the upgrade. The Power Supply on that machine is not very strong For that money you might find a better used PC. Maybe you could sell your old Packard Bell on eBay. If there are people out there that still think it is a god machine.

Allan, was that sarcasm?
More like a weak attempt at humor as we wait for a little more information.
