Answer» The current items I have (already purchased) are: The current items I have (already purchased) are: Alright, I'm assuming we're talking about the Q6600. If so, excellent choice. Now, in regards to the motherboard and the graphics card.. This motherboard support Crossfire, and yet you want to buy a graphics card that supports SLi. And why do you need a 700w power supply for a wimpy little 8600 GT that needs no more than 400w? And why buy the 8600 GT? It can barely play new games on high. And then we have the RAM.. What are you doing that you need more than 2GB of RAM? It better be good. Quote from: Jess607 on November 21, 2007, 03:07:28 PM Alright, I'm assuming we're talking about the Q6600. If you want to waste money, get a better graphics card or two CPUs.why you get 8 gb just because your motherboard can handle all that? most things even in 64 bit should not require 8 gb of memory! you could have gotten a 8800 GTS instead of a 8600 and you could have got yourself a new LCD monitor and some nice speakers with it.i agree with jess607. dont waste money on 8gb, instead, get a better graphics card. you really dont even need 4gb, i have 2gb with an 8800 ultra, and while playing CoD4, my RAM usage doesnt go past 80%. Quote Which specific CPU are we discussing here ? ? Quote from: Cryptic on November 21, 2007, 01:36:33 PM None? Please refer to questions in my post. That's what I'm discussing. Why was it convient to ignore this question posed and then answer it 2 posts later ? ? After all the Topic was "upgrading computer_ need advice.... |
