When I TRIED to edit, for example, autoexec.bat, the computer said 'EDIT' is not recognized as an INTERNAL or EXTERNAL command, operable program or batch file. BTW, I am running Windows XP. Thank's a lot for your help. LeoEDIT does indeed come with XP. Try using notepad or wordpad instead. You should find ONE or both in the accessories section of the START menu.
