Answer» Greetings all,
On STARTUP, my BOX detects a USB connection that does not exist. The "safely remove hardware" icon is always in the quick-launch area of the taskbar. When I click it, it defaults a USB connection that is not in place. Although a minor annoyance, it is STILL annoying. Is there something in the registry I can change? Any other possible remedies? I appreciate all help.
What happens when you remove it in the Safely Remove Hardware?
Unplug all USB Devices and see if it is still there.
Otherwise, you can hide the icon if you want.Hi,
Thanks for the response. No USB item is connected on startup; the SYSTEM seems to think there is. YES, when I click stop, it says OK to remove, but there's nothing to remove. How do you hide the icon?
Right Click the Task Bar, go to Properties. Then click Advanced. Thanks for the tip!No Problem.
