my friend has recently FORMATTED his 1gb pen drive
but no computer will allow him to acess it now,
it will show in my compter but when trying to get in to it it says drive not formatted would you like to format now?
when yes is clicked it brings up the windows format window, OK thats fine when ok is clicked to format the drive it will only go so FAR, then says unable to complete format,??
it is a 1gb
looking in the properties folder of the drive it tells me that the drive file system is raw
How can we get the orginal file system to go back on
we have tried disk management, killdisk but to no avail
Is there any thing we can do?

MattThe RAW symptom occurs when USB drives...both thumb and EXTERNAL are unplugged without using the Safely Remove Hardware option...have him CONTACT the drive manuf. and see if they have a utility for this...cheers Patio
will do also i meant to say #it is a 1gb but only registering 8mb
is there anything that can be done to recover the rest?
