What happens when you start the computer without the MOUSE and keyboard connected?
Does it post, does it make it to the login screen?
Do you get an error?considering its not ps/2 rather its USB

THANK you to everyone who helped me out. YESTERDAY evening I was USING my roommate's computer and borrowing wireless from our neighbor, and the Internet became suddenly unavailable. I wanted to touch base and let you know what was wrong.
The computer had a virus which was block the drivers. I had my hard drive wiped and reinstalled everything and now the computer is WORKING perfectly.
