Solve : USB ports works with only one device? |
|
Answer» I'm currently using an ASUS P5G41T M-LX motherboard. Recently, I've added an SSD to my system which made use of all my available SATA ports (I already had 2 HDDs & 1 CD/DVD R/W drive). I've recently noticed (PROBABLY after my upgradation to SSD) that all my USB ports are OK, but works with only one connected device. MEANING, if I want to connect only one device (my FLASH drive, card reader, external HDD or my phone via USB) at a TIME, all the USB ports just work fine (I've 2 USB 2.0 in front & 4 USB 2.0 at back of my system. My keyboard & mouse are connected to 2 USB ports at the back). But, whenever I connect any second device (one of those mentioned earlier), it gets detected by the system and doesn't show up in file explorer. I've also tried to locate my drives using "diskpart" as well as in "disk management", but it took forever to load. If anyone has any suggestion in this regard, it will be really helpful. The problem resolved after upgrading to Windows 10 (from Win 7). It will be appreciated though if someone can shed some light on the whole matter. |
