Then I'm supposed to load the new firmware of my specific model in a sub folder. That's where I need help. The root program is called mentsu.02 and the file I'm supposed to load is 4520 series..I'm not sure how to procede..thanks You did not say which copier. Makes a difference. Quote from: Toshiba It's now possible to use the high quality scanning system INCORPORATED as a standard feature of the Toshiba machine to scan directly to a USB storage device or memory stick. Quote from: The OP Then I'm supposed to load the new firmware of my specific model in a sub folder. That's where I need help. You open the USB stick in Windows Explorer and place program loader in the root folder, that is, the uppermost folder of the drive. If the drive letter was E: (just an example) then the root folder would be E:\ and then you make a new folder in the root folder for example E:\Newfolder\ and put the new firmware file in that new subfolder. It might be crucial to give this subfolder a correct name but without more information we cannot really say. If you give a link to the instructions we can take a look and see if we can help further. These devices aren't cheap and you don't want to brick it, do you? Personally, if my EMPLOYER was leasing one of these on a contract, or if it was my own property, I would get a service rep to do it. If anything WENT wrong it would be their fault, then, not mine. Salmon Trout, you got it right. |
