Here is the proplem. I have a new computer and an old parallel printer. I have purchased a USB to Parallel CABLE and hooked it up. I run thru all of the things that I think should to get my printer to do its thing and can't get a peep out of it. I have rebooted and deleated the printer and REDID it several times. I have UNINSTALLED the HP printer software several time and reinstalled it. This is old software that doesn't have USB as a choice so I have STUCK with having it look for the parallel port. I am at a loss!!!! Any help would be appreciated. BTW my website is www.alderhouse.com if you are inerested in why I use hotglass.
ttfn hotglassAssuming XP. Control panel/printers and faxs icon. Right click, select properties. Click ports tab. Choose port to send printing to. Make sure printer is selected as default printer.
