Answer» Ok, I don't know much about making multiple connections with the internet. So that's why i'm here. I want to keep my Xbox Live hooked up while at the same time my COMPUTER's internet is hooked up. I have a cable modem and i have to disconnect ONE and plug the other ethernet cord in every time. Do I NEED a router? Is that what it's called? If so what kind of router or is there a certain one I need to buy? Please any answers are greatly appreciated. ThanksAre you using cable? If so any router that has cable usage is fine all you need to do is plug your internet cable to the new hub instead of the SINGLE cable router. There are plenty of routers out there im sure if you google some step by steps it should show you.
