Solve : verifying dmi pool data.........? |
|
Answer» I just put together a NEW computer, well to say the least I am fairly new to this. any way I tried to install windows xp on my new hard drive, when it got to the screen where it asks you to press f8 to agree my f8 key wasn't working. so the only other thing I could do was to press escape, well now I got a new keyboard and when I turn on the computer to try and load windows again it loads to a screen saying vrifying dmi pool data....... and just stays there. I have no floppy or cd in why now does it not work is there a way to fix this?If you're still in the install phase, why don't you just start over.I tried to just install again, but after I turn it on it goes right to this screen. I also tried disconnecting all the pci cards and just starting it with BASIC hard drive, cd rom, floppy and it changed to say, verifying dmi pool data.........UPDATE succesfull, but still nothing happened. It is a brand new hard drive is there a way of erasing anything that MAY have been loaded on to it :-??Sorry.. I'm a bit confused... when you turn it on.. it should boot to the CD and and begin INSTALLING windows.... From there you can repartition or reformat.. |
