hi, this is my first post here and i have alot of computer knowledge.

i was on my computer last night and it was all fine, i started my computer today and it starts but the monitor does not turn on, the monitor power light is normally yellow (standby) and blue (on). now when i start my computer the computer starts and does not repeat, it starts normally with a singular regular bleep. and the monitor goes to blue with nothing SHOWING on the SCREEN, then changes to standby again. i have  changed any hardware whatsoever it just happened!

i am RUNNING xp pro with 1gb ram (2 x 512) a nvidia geforce 7600 gs (pci express, vga output)

anthonycan you boot in safe mode?Did you try your monitor on another computer, or working monitor on said computer?no, because i dont see anything on the monitor, it flashes on for around 1sec as soon as you start the pc. it is not the monitor, i TRIED it on a seperate computerthen i suspect a faulty video CARD. you may wish to purchase a new one, or borrow someones to see if that solves the issue.
