I have seen KVM extenders that work over Cat5 Network connection from Extender to Extender, but it might be using the Cat5 PAIRS for communications that are not regular data packets over a network. If it is, you could place a bridge and access point between them and make Keyboard, Video, and MOUSE all over WIFI.
Other option is to CONVERT VGA to composite and use security hardware (radio extender of composite video) NOT QUALITY VIDEO! Low Def!
