my b-day passed about 4 days ago and i recieved a sony vaio vgc-rb30 as a GIFT. it didn't come with a video card installed, so i'm looking for one to install. problem is that it doesn't have an agp SLOT but uses a pci express x16 slot. i'm not to familiar with that kind of slot, but its to my understanding that its a new technology. i just wanna make sure i select the right kind of vid card in my $70 budget, the cheapest i found in a local store was $130, so i turned to tigerdirect.

its well in my price range and has a nice amount of memory on it. i'm a gamer, but i dont consider myself to be a hardcore gamer that plays for 5 hours a day but play atleast an hour every 1 or 2 days. but yea, just curious if that card would be adequate....... if not i would love some suggestions.

Either way I'd GIVE it another 512Mb of RAM.
The card looks OK.well yea i was thinking i would be fine on the integrated video source too, but the picture is pretty choppy. it didnt satisfy me at all, plus my fps was pretty low.What game, and what are the requirements?counter strike 1.6 and source, and soon to be battlefield 2. i just wanna pull the best out of my pc so i can get it ready for bf2.Try ordering your videocard online and skip the middle man in the store.
