Answer» What matters more in a video card? The core speed or the MEMORY? I've noticed that the higher end cards have big jumps between memory speeds. So I'm GUESSING memory speed?The Core Speed is more important when it come to DISPLAYING the Data to the Screen, where as having and faster memory allows the Core to be fed more information and therefor allows a better picture. However having a memory speed in Excess off the core speed will not yield improvement as the core simply wont be able to handle the amount of data AVAILABLE to it, so it will simply get flooded. Really they both RELY on Each other Very heavily.
