Answer» At one point in time I knew about these things, but now it seems I'm lost. I have a compaq presario sr5110nx. Its has a pci slotted nvidia geforce 6150se nforce 430 card in it (which is what it came with). Im looking for a good, inexpensive, compatible video card and I cant seem to figure out what will WORK and what won't. I have access to a RADEON hd2400 pro which I think is an upgrade, but im not entirely sure, and even if it is will it work for my system? any ideas, thoughts, or helpful sites would be great. According to Compaq Presario SR5110NX PC (GC668AA) - specifications, your computer has PCI Express. So, why are you talking about getting a PCI (not PCI Express) card? How much are you willing to SPEND? I don't believe the 6150SE comes in a PCI slot version... Also it's likely that it's an on-board card (nForce is a NVidia CHIPSET) |
