Solve : Video Card Dying? Dead??

Answer»

So I was playing a game, and all of a sudden it FROZE on me. I had to boot my computer. After BOOTING, I am welcomed by a horribly pixely screen. I go to my device manager, and see that there's a problem with my video card.

It's a NVIDIA GeForce Go 6400. It says: This device cannot start. (Code 10)

I've tried updating, but there are no updates. What should I do? Uninstall, reinstall?

Sony Vaio
Windows XP Professional. Intel Pentium M processor 2.00 GHz
2.00 GHz, 1.00 GB Ram

Is that what you need? Sorry, I'm not computer savvy .Oh, ANOTHER thing I noticed after this happened is that the Standby option under Turn off Computer is greyed out. Try System Restore.Quote from: Broni on February 29, 2008, 07:08:37 PM
Try System Restore.

This didn't work. Any other suggestions? Have you tried to uninstall then reinstall? If your feeling bold try taking the card out and putting it back in.Also, try the card in another computer, or borrow video card, and try in your computer.you COULD also try resetting the cmos...
