Hey guys, i'm having a strange PROBLEM with my video card/ ?monitor? I have an Nvidia GeForceMx 4000 graphics card and a 17" IBM thinkvision flatscreen monitor. I'm getting an afterimage slightly to the right of everything else on my screen. I.E: all the words in this post appear to end in two letters almost.

Edit: Forgot to MENTION, I just installed the latest drivers to try to fix it, but to no avail. Did this SUDDENLY start happening ?
Are you USING known correct settings for you card and monitor ?
Can you verify the monitor on another machine ?

Assuming that it's a card issue...
Could be a heat issue, blow out the case interior with canned air.
Clean fan filters if you have them.

With the case open, point a desk fan at it and SEE if that changes anything.

Can you monitor (and report) the card's temps with the nvidia control panel ?

As a last resort you could try under-clocking the card using a free utility such as Riva Tuner.First, try that monitor on another computer and another monitor onb this one. It is important to isolate where the problem is.
