Answer» I am looking at a Video Card and it SAY??
MAXIMUM Analog Resolution 2048 x 1536 @ 85 Hz
I get that 2048 x 1536 is the Width and Hight RES. But what is the @ 85 Hz???
They are not talking about the CRT FREQ. are they? Because most CRTs and TVs are 60 Hz or is this not what they mean?85hz is the refresh rate of your video card. If your MONITOR can only handle 60hz, then I'm assuming the card will default to that. Most LCD flat panel monitors nowadays feature 85hz refresh rates, to my knowledge.a lot of CRTs can go up to 120hz for lower resolutions, as well.It means that the card can support that resolution and that refresh rate or lower, but, cannot support that resolution at a refresh rate higher than 85 hz.
Also, the card (more than likely) can support lower resolutions at a higher refresh rate.
