Solve : [VIDEO] Computer extremely laggy and slow for 1-3 seconds.?

Answer»

Hi there, first time poster.

For a few months anytime I do something like watch a movie, play a game, or even listen to music or watch youtube videos my computer will get extremely laggy for 1-3 seconds. I will barely be able to MOVE my mouse and the sound gets all robotic like and it eventually goes away. It is becoming more and more often now and I want to fix it before something serious happens to it. I recently had to get a new motherboard due to problems with my graphics card (on a laptop) so I don't think it would have anything to do with anything on there. Anyone have any IDEA what's going on?

Not sure if this is needed but here is some information on my computer...

Sorry for the poor quality it was filmed with my phone

*I also have an Nvidia card in here but for some reason it doesnt SHOW up on the dxdiag

Also sorry if this is in the wrong sectionHave you installed the latest nVidia graphics drivers which include Optimus (an nVidia power saving technology which alternates between integrated graphics and discrete graphics based on graphics load to save power) for the GT 540M which your computer has?

If you boot in Safe Mode and try to play a song or watch a movie does the problem still occur?
