My western digital hard drive won't connect to my computer, ive contacted WD and they will replacue it with a BRAND new one , I have 700 gb worth of stuff on there . i have a feeling that the box the cover of the hard drive is damaged, also the POWER thing. It LIGHTS up, but not as before the blue light is not as bright. It there a way i can retrieve my data. or should i just bring it to the SHOP. im afraid if i do , wd might not give me a new one , especially if the cover/box is damaged.Have you tried it on a different computer?How does it show up in Disk Management ? ?
