Answer» Not sure if any of you, out there, have a job in RETAIL...but, just wanted to vent a bit. Due to certain circumstances...I've been forced to take a job in retail. Mainly, because it "helps" to pay the bills. Not that it really helps...but, it helps. Why is it...the harder you work...the more they give you to do...while those who GOOF off...get away with it? It never ceases to amaze me. Here I am, 54 years of age...been smoking for 40 of those years and work twice as hard as some of the young people there? I'm almost twice their age and can outperform them in the back room on any given day. It seems they come to work and then have this attitude..."Yeah, I showed up...now when is my break and when do I get paid?" I'm not knocking all young people...just those with absolutely no work ethics. Anyhow...just wanted to throw this out there to see if it gets any replies...Don't worry 'bout the slackers...keep out doing them...even if it's for personal gratification.I think its because 'retail' is not a career OPTION for alot of people. It's more of a stop gap. Although, a lot young people do have this attitude. That exactly is the attitude I came across in all my jobs RECENTLY. My parents didn't raise me like that, and I'm really thankful for it!
