Answer» Hello agents of hope! I just installed 2 identical webcams, one on my own computer, one on my parents' (for use W/ Skype). You know what's coming; mine is WORKING fine, but not theirs. It seems their computer just doesn't recognize when the webcam is connected to the USB port. I followed all the instructions to set it up, and the driver and program are installed just fine. It's only that when I plug in the USB cable, nothing HAPPENS. No "USB device found" message comes up, and the webcam icon on the start bar still says it's disconnected. I've REBOOTED the computer several times and even tried reinstalling the program, but no luck. Their computer is a Dell desktop, a few years old and slow as molasses, but it usually doesn't have problems recognizing our digital cameras or other USB devices. What might be causing this and how can I fix it? THANKS!even if it did work the framerate would be bad:( but anyway check device manager for yellow or red marks next to the icon somone else can help with device manager better then i can by the way i dont like skype they send bios data to them
