I am using Windows XP-SP3 & LG Webcam-LIC 100 as webcam. But recently it is not working. It is showing black screen. I tried to uninstall & reinstall the driver. But still it is not working. What must be problem?Did any documentation come with the webcam and did you read thru it? This sounds like something that is probably covered in he "Troubleshooting" section of the docs.It was working for last 4 years without any problem. i will go thro the help section.OK, try with messenger if it works!
Go to Tools- snd CHOSE Webcam settings, maybe it works, or go to Tools, Audio and Video setup.
Cheers.Also try it in a differnt usb port. I know that sounds kind of like UH that ISNT going to work but sometimes the ports build up dust and what not and stop working. I resolved a SCANNER issue by doing this so if nothine else.Thanx all of u. I tried the webcam on different USB ports, also on different computer as well as use yahoo & windows messenger for audio-video setting. But nothing worked. May be problem in webcam itself?Yes.
If you have tried it on other computers, and it does not work on any of them, then the webcam is shot. Time for a new one. odd seem like it is.Thanx all of u. I will go for a new one...Sorry we werent ABLE to help more. Also, i am limited in my knowdlge of cams.
