Answer» I recently posted that my picture was freezing just about every time I have been on a skype video call. It was suggested that I check the drivers and install any new ones or re0-install them I suppose. The PROBLEM is that the little webcam is about 6 or 7 years old and is a JAPANESE company. In other words, an English website is non-existent and getting drivers is difficult if at all possible.
I am considering the idea of buying a new webcam, as well. I realize that you pretty much get what you pay for in terms of quality. A wireless one would be great but not entirely necessary.
Any suggestions / recommendations?
Logitech...budget Cams ...but good.Any preference in Max Resolution?
This seems to be a good web cam. Check out the user reviews. Seems to work just fine with Skype.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104316I guess I'm not sure what I need to good quality. Lightening is always an issue. If the room is a bit dark it can really hamper quality. One thing I've LEARNED the hard way is that you can't judge a camera strictly by MP. Cameras with the same MP can deal with light very differently. There are ways to rate the light gathering capabilities of cameras, but good luck in finding those SPECS.
This may be an area where reviews are more important than specs and hard numbers.
