Answer» I have actually two computers, and I have a really STRANGE QUESTION to ASK you. One computer runs faster than the other, even though the other has better specs. See below -
Computer 1 -
Windows Xp Pro Celeron 1.2 GHz 256 RAM 32 MB VIDEO Card 10 GB Hard Drive
Computer 2 -
Windows Xp Pro Celeron 2.4 Ghz 512 RAM Intergrated Intel Graphics 40 GB Hard Drive
For some reason, comp 1 is faster than comp 2. None have viruses or spyware (i checked), and in general, comp 1 can handle multi taskining, and games better than comp 2. Any clues to why?Are they both on the same isp? What programs and software are they running. Is it possible the 2.4 has more programs running in the BACKGROUND?There are alot of variables to your question to give you any specific answer.Integrated graphics for one. In computer 1 the graphics card is handling most/all the graphics work, in computer 2 the CPU is handling the graphics and the processing.
