Answer» i did some major uogrades today on my computer: ASUS M2N32 motherboard, x1650 pro, 6000+ x2 and a pair of corsair "dominators" this is COMING from a x700 pro and a 3700+ single core. also had ddr400 RAM, not ddr800. windows takes twice as long to boot up, games are laggy on the same SETTINGS as before, i need to lower them.
i'm thinking a new PSU, as i only have a 400 watt. does that seem like it would be my problem? thanks for any helpHave you reinstalled Windows after this upgrade? Windows doesn't like major hardware changes. But yes, 400 watts is probably in the low end although I don't think it would account for the problems you're DESCRIBING. I could be wrong of course, but either way I would upgrade the PSU since an insufficient power supply can shorten the life of your hardware. If you're going to upgrade don't buy the cheapest PSU available. Cheap PSUs are notorious for not delivering the power they PROMISE. Buy a brand name like Antec, Thermaltake, etc.hm, i'll try reinstalling windows. i'll let you know how it works out. After you do that, get a new PSU. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182030
