Solve : What are intel processor threads?? |
|
Answer» i dont understand. intel has on their website that their i3,i5, and i7 PROCESSORS have threads. for example 2 cores/4 threads. does this mean it acts as a quad core? does anyone know?when in doubt www.google.com can answer alot of the questions you have about PROCESSERS and the differences in the model numbers.i found a wikipedia page, but it wasnt clear. it said that they share ram with the processor, but whats the purpose of processor threads? what do they do?You can image thread as virtual core ... PHYSICALLY they have for example 2 cores but each could run more less independly 2 threads. In summary, 4 processes could run at the same time more less INDEPENDENT. More less because threads are sharing same MEMORY or someting like that so one can interfer with other that's why are they not so independent. |
