Solve : What are the laws about selling concert tickets online??

Answer»

Just questioning if eBay enables you to sell concert tickets online? Do you know if you can FIND any restrictions depending on what country you're in?

My parents have just called me and asked if i could "get rid" of their two tickets to some concert as they wont be ABLE to make it because of another family event.

Apart from asking friends etc, i thought ebay would be a great place to market them.

But whats ebay's policy on marketing tickets? Ive heard alot about it within the news but ive forgotten what happened.

and if it matters, the concert is inside this coming month

Thanks in advance for your advice.I'm not SURE about the policies on ebay or craigslist, but in general selling tickets is OK if they are not sold for more than the face value of the ticket. Selling tickets for more than the face value is considered scalping and is generally illegal in many cities, and I have seen it enforced in a few cities.Weakest SPAM attempt of the Month Award...i'll leave it up to a vote.I don't know...
They were pretty clever in disguising it as a real question. This is definitely what you'd call a "soft sell" spam post. It's much more subtle than those, "Buy cheap *censored* online!" posts with a million links in them. So, I don't know if I'd call it the weakest. Its strength lies in its restraint. That's just my opinion, though. I'm sure others will differ.

So why is the link still there?Quote from: kpac on October 04, 2010, 12:23:39 PM

Valid point.

very kind of you , i thought so to maybe we will get an answer from a few of the mods on thisyou know what I love, people making minute and otherwise redundant suggestions and then expecting the moderatorship to croon and debate over it. Especially when what they suggest is what occurs the majority of the time.

about 99.9% of the time the entire thread is moved to the publicly invisible SPAM board.
