Solve : What browsers do you use??

Answer»

patio will be excited (Sorry, I couldn't resist)

I'm using Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.11 and Internet Explorer 7.Mozilla FireFox version 3
and Internet Explorer
I use FireFox mainly since I like some of the add ons, and I like the look and spellcheck. I DO NOT THINK it is any faster or SECURE than IE. Firefox in Linux, Opera in Windows, and IE at school.I use Internet Explorer.

patio may really enjoy this poll............ Firefox...if I only could uninstall IE, I'd be happy.Firefox 2.0.0.11, and occasionally IE6 when absolutely necessary.
Broni - check out Nlite.
For advanced users only, but take some CARE and you can remove most components of Windows.
Some people don't recommend it as it's easy to remove things you want to keep, but it is an advanced tool and as such they assume you know what you're doing when you fire it up.Thanks Calum, but I'm not that desperate. I'll let IE just hanging out there as a reference tool. You know, Internet Explorer is a key component of updates in Windows XP, 2003, 2000, ME, and 98SE...
Its the only way to check for DRIVER updates and un-security related software updates. lolmainly firefox... some ie and safariOh Joy.......nevermind.Quote from: Zylstra on January 24, 2008, 06:03:43 PM

I never get drivers from Windows Update as they're usually out of date, I go to the manufacturer's site.
I agree though, IE is important to have to use Windows/Microsoft/Office Update, however there are alternatives such as windizupdate or checking manually.Quote from: Calum on January 26, 2008, 06:11:09 AM

Windiz, as I have DISCOVERED, does not work as well as I think it should..
But, yes, it does work. I highly recommend just using Windows Update though.. Quote from: Zylstra on January 26, 2008, 02:18:19 PM

I agree. Windows Update is more reliable when checking for updates.I've always found either to be a reliable source of updates.
It is quite worrying when one recommends I download an update and the other does not pick it up though - this happens occasionally with both of them.
