Solve : What is FUD? |
|
Answer» Get FUD Fear, UNCERTAINTY & Doubt.Take a few days off Geek...Urban Dictionary told me FUD was Scottish slang for a lady's naughty parts... Fallacious Urban Dictionary. Really? An innocuous word like "Fud" means that? Plus, Fuddy Duddy Fudge is the name of a nice, tasty confectionery shop:http://www.fuddyduddyfudge.com/About_Our_Fudge.html Makes me salivate just like one of Pavlov's dogs. I have yet to find any evidence that corroborates your statement... Really? You GUYS know how to use google, right? Are yall trolling? http://lmgtfy.com/?q=FUD+Scottish+slang If you just google FUD, it's the third link. It's the fifth link for me. First link is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear,_uncertainty_and_doubt, followed by en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fud, then some restaurant grill thing, another "encyclopedia" definition, (http://catb.org/jargon/html/F/FUD.html) and finally the urbandictionary entry you note. Quote from: JJ 3000 on November 15, 2011, 01:57:30 AM Are yall trolling? *Y'all*. Or more properly, You all. Third link? You mean this? http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?p=31588572 Quote Isn't it "Weegie" rather than "Weedgie", after all there is no "d" in either glasgow or glaswegian. Och reit Ah hae tae teel ye oaps Ah jist accidentallied mah fud. Ah wear a kilt but Ah dornt hae a fud. An' Ah hae magically developed a Scottie accent after readin' th' abune link. Quote from: Transfusion on November 15, 2011, 05:20:01 AM Third link? You mean this? I got the link to urbandictionary he mentioned as the fifth hit. My guess as to the difference is locale. Also, that could explain why you don't see it at all.I always use http://www.google.com/ncr so as not to bias search results towards a particular locale. Quote from: Transfusion on November 15, 2011, 07:51:35 AM I always use http://www.google.com/ncr so as not to bias search results towards a particular locale. With that I get it as the third link...Fully Undetectable. At least I think they have - if they haven't yet, I read somewhere that that's what they will be doing.
