Answer» Hello, I have a system that was put together by a friend. It is an Intel Penium 2 MMX, 350 MHz, with WINDOWS 98SE. I have 128 MB RAM. It has a S3 Trio 3d (365/366) video card, which for writing and simple purposes is great, but for the newer 3d games, stinks! It hangs up and is very slow. . I am looking for a newer 3d video graphics card, but I don't know what will work with my system. I'm afraid the newest technology is too fast for my computer. Their are no updates or support for S3 products to speak of, and I'm on a limited budget. Can anyone suggest a good quality card for my money, that will work with what I have? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Actually my brother has the same kind of computer Windows 98SE 350mhz Pentium II and 64 MB Ram. I don'think you should use a Pentium II 350mhz for games... I think it will lag... badly might I add. But if you want it for games any 64MB video card should do. And MAKE sure you update your directX driver to 9.0c.. it helps with images. Or update the video card driver that really helps.Thank you for your input. I have the most current DirectX 9.0, and there are no UPDATED driver files for the S3 Trio 3D Video cards, I've looked. I've been to the manufacturers site, and found nothing, and I'm not the only one who's tried to find drivers for this card. It's just out-dated. I have 128 MB RAM, and it plays games alright, I'm not looking at Doom or Flight simulators, just 3D family type games. I found some that use OpenGL, and my card is too old to even have it. So what 64MB card is best for the money? I've heard Voodoo is good, GeForce, and Radeon, but which is best for an older system? :- Honestly, look on ebay for an older radeon 8000 series card or even older. I wouldnt pay too much for a card, nomore than 10-15 bucks. A faster card will not really help you much because your processor is not fast ENOUGH. Also depends which type of graphics slot you have.
Quote but for the newer 3d games

Your entire system is not going to work with Newer 3D games.
