And only watched Naruto, to answer your question.well tekken was made into a movie in 1997 and tekken 2 had only recently come out then, soon to evolve into tekken 3 (1998)
as for death note... i love it just finished WATCHING the latest episode... riveting..I don't consider myself an anime buff by any means, but I do have a few favorites...

i forgot to mention cowboy bebop... chris reminded me.. i watched the movie a while ago, it's pretty mad...i think anything animated and originally japanese counts as anime, i guess it just DEPENDS on what you think counts...
