ok the question, would it be more cost efficient to just get a new laptop, or to just upgrade things that matter like ram and cpu speed? and about how long will either one last me?Laptops aren't CPU upgradeable very easily (if at all). If you're happy with the computer, you could add some RAM, but don't expect a huge difference. It really depends on what your computer requirements are (internet, school, gaming, etc). New laptops are so inexpensive (relative to 5-10 years ago), it's just not cost effective to put much money into an older one.thanks, yeah mine is only 3 or so years old but i got one of the more cheaper ones, some at best buy are only 400ish that are 3 times better then mine!i'd just go for a new laptop to be honest. LESS of a HEADACHE than getting new parts and not that expensive these days.Clean up your old laptop and sell it to help cover the cost of a new one....
