Hello Everyone,

I have an Intellimouse Opitcal USB and PS/2 Compatible, and the problem that I am having is that all the buttons work, but the wheel does not when I scroll up and down. Like when I try to scroll the slide bar on a window it does not work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver and no luck. The problem happened when I installed a new OS on the computer. The mouse works when I click every other button, but it does not scroll. Can ANYONE help please! Thanks for any help.

Does your mouse driver have a control panel?Yes it does and the problem mite be that it is set up on the wrong setting. I have it set up as autoscroll. Is that the right setting? And I am using windows xp 32 bit.try out all of the settings. your os sounds right so there would not be a problem unless it's a hardware fault.Yea, that is what I was thinking but when I push down on the wheel it clicks so to speak. That option works.all wheel mice that i know of click when pushed.yea, but that is the only way that I can see that it is kinda working. I have tried all the setting and it still does not work. If the click part of it works shouldnt the wheel scroll too?Do you have the latest drivers for your mouse?Yea, I do. And I think that the scroll on the wheel is bad, But I dont know. Can that happen?
