Solve : where is my cd drive?????

pls someone help me, all of a sudden i cant see my CD drive i think its calle d drive.
i put a cd in and NOTHING happens, i GO to my comp and theres nothing there. pls help me

in addition to what street1 has SAID, i have to ask if you did anything inside of the computer, such as add a piece of hardware, remove a piece of hardware, etc...

*EDIT*

are you able to open and CLOSE the disc tray on the drive?did you do anything to the hardware within the computer? Maybe check the power plugs to be sure it is not loose. Loose power plug may mean no power to cd drive, meaning no signal from cd drive to computer, meaning windows detects no drive at all.
