Well, newegg.com shows about $30 price difference on those two units. So, I'd say it's not a very good comparison. Actually, I'd say the higher priced one, the second one, is obviously a better PSU. However, I'll suggest FSP Group (Fortron Source) AX450-PN, 12cm FAN, version 2.2, 2 SATA, PCI Express, 450W Power Supply - Retail. It has better reviews that either of the ones you mentioned. I bought an FSP AX400-PN 3 months ago and am pleased with it.lol, here's the beef* (thanks for your input)
the 29.00 piece of you know what* just arrived tonight, i have both now...
I went with a few costly pieces of hardware and committed a mortal sin and left less $$$ for my psu...

I am willling to try out the new cheap one - 575 watt and see if she is somewhat stable for awhile... eventually i will get a nice one but thought the reviews were not too bad on el cheapo

i will need to power the msi 8800 gts 320 mb with either of these 2 so I am somewhat concerned?

2 hds 2 dvds a media card reader/ a floppy and 3 fans and large Zalman cpu fan
the psu calculator came up to about 475 guesstimator but... my choice here is a little more expensive DUAL psu or the higher wattage el cheapo thats not dual?Return the cheapo and use that bread towards a good one...Trust me on this one. That's never the place to save money. You'd have thought I WOULD have learned something from you after almost a year now! Hey, I live on the edge. look at these guys below who own the el cheapo*

Tech Level: high
Ownership: more than 1 year

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 suprisingly stable

Pros: unbelievably stable people and COST less than 50 bucks.

Cons: none so far and i kinda feel like i wouldn't see one in a while.

Other THOUGHTS: I used to be all about buying big branded items but i cant even give good testimonies about them anymore. They either die on you or have poor tech support and documentation. These smaller and upcoming companies are doing all they can to get their well deserved attention and trust me this one sure did. Am no longer scared when i see their brand name and as a matter of fact i have ordered a couple of case fans from them to see how good they really are.

Pros: Tons of plugs,SLI Ready, Dual Fan,very quite, awesome price.

Cons: There isnt any!

Pros: No problem running six hard drives, a DVD drive, three SATA controller cards, five SATA-to-IDE bridges, a Geforce 4 MX 64MB video card, and a Socket A motherboard.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: This is a replacement for a three-year-old 400W power supply that keeled over while adding more hard drives to my file server. If the new PSU continues to run well, I'll get one for my gaming rig to replace a 340W PSU before I upgrade to a more power hungry video card.

29.00 << bucks & SLI certified, I have seen no other psu certified for under 70.00!Well if anonymous web buyer comments are testament enough...go for it.

I absolve myself of any and all complications down the road.
