Answer» i have a MSI K9MM-V / via K8m800 + VT8237R Plus chipset based Thats what it says on the box anyway.
i am having a little trouble with the memory as the manual does not specifically say what memory it takes. It does SUGGEST speeds but that is it, i was just wondering can i get vaarious DIFFERENT types and will it be ok.
This is what it says Memory support: DDRII 400/533/667/800 SDRAM (2GB Max) 2 DDRII Dimm slots (240-pin/ non ecc)
I currently have 512mb / pc2 4300 / 533mhz and have been given two 512mb / Pc2 5300u / 667mhz is this ok for me to put in my computer and can i put 2gb in each slot or is it 2gb total Thanks Gok well DEPENDING on how much memory your motherboard can take you want to be looking for This is what it says DDRII 240-pin

(little drunk)bottoms up mate have one for meAnyway Geoff i do belive that your board supports the memory you have as it supports upto 800mhz, for which you only have 667mhz there, and to your second Q i THINK it till only support 1GB in each slot all the best Mate Simshi Travel to crucial.com's site and enter your system specs...it will tell you exactly what that board will handle. You don't have to buy it from them but at least you'll know.
