Solve : Wifi and Bluetooth turns off by itself?

Answer»

About 3 months ago I noticed that my wifi and bluetooth started to turn itself on by itself. It does it quite at random times. So I immediately assumed some virus or trojan or such. So i ran AVG and Spybot. Nothing. I've since had the problem off and on. I just had it do it a minute ago. Without me touching it it turned off then back on twice, then back off again.

is this a HARDWARE problem?

unrelated but my microsoft bluetooth notebook mouse 5000 cuts out for chunks of TIME RANDOMLY too.

thanks for any reply!

** I have a hp hdx16t-1200 just over a year old.Check your power settings.I have it on maximum performance.

the wifi setting under battery settings is

Wireless Adapter Settings > Power Saving Mode > both 'plugged in' and 'battery' are on maximum performance.

 any ideas about this problem?

Afshinb, this turned out to be a computer assembly problem. The wire connecting the touch buttons above the keyboard on the laptop was not properly insulated by HP. Based on photos of your laptop I don't think you have the same problem as I have listed here.I have a Toshiba Qosmio Core2Duo running Windows XP SP3 that warns about using Bluetooth and wifi concurrent as they are known to conflict in my laptop model. Solution is use wifi with no bluetooth devices around to drop the wifi. So if your wifi and bluetooth is dropping out, you could have devices CONFLICTING for communications with both, like my laptop warns me about.

Is this a new problem created by introducing any new hardware or devices that use wifi or bluetooth in the home etc?
