Solve : Will This PSU Work With My PC? -Solved-?

Answer»

Hey there, this is my first post here. ^^ I'm getting a new video card for my desktop PC, I checked it out with all requirements meeting up except for the Power Supply. So I'm going to be buying a new power supply as well. However, I'm not QUITE sure how to check if the PSU itself is compatible with my current SETUP. This is my rig at the moment, http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?cc=us&docname=c00461460&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN#N294
Although I'm adding a Sapphire Radeon x1800xt http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102008 and have already added a stick of 512 MB of RAM. What I'm ASKING is just if the PSU I'm looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103931 Will work or if I'll have to look elsewhere. Thanks in advance for any help. :] Sorry about all the linksChili........ You didnt say , but I assume the vid card you plan on getting will fit your MOBO ....... It's a PCI Express correct ?
As far as the PSU , the one you selected looks fine ........ have you checked to make sure it will fit into the available space ?

dl65 About the video card, the tower I'm putting it in has a PCI Express slot with the X16 lane. However, how about can I go and find the measurements for the PSU? Took a look at their official website but I'm having difficulty finding any measurements.

EDIT: Ah, nevermind about the measurements, found them :]Look at the back of your tower ...... there should be 4 screws holding in the existing PSU ....... check the measurements .

The link you posted ...shows that there is a available PCI Express slot ..... thats why I mentioned it .

dl65 Ah, okay, thanks for the help. PSU will fit.
