Solve : Win2000 System without a C:\ drive?

Answer»

I built a new COMPUTER over July 4 weekend.  I put a new hard disk as the master and my OLD hard drive in the slave position.  I installed Windows 2000.  When it was all settled, I realized that the master hard drive, with the new OS, was called e:\, and the old hard drive, in the slave slot, was called c:\.  It was too MUCH of a hassle to rejigger, and everything seemed to work OK.

Then a couple weeks ago, the old hard drive started clunking, then quit functioning altogether.  So I took it out.  Now there was no c:\ drive on the machine, but everything seemed to function ok.

Now I’m installing Norton anti-virus and its balking at not seeing a c:\ drive.  What can I do to make the system call it c:\?  Install starts out, then hits Error 1327.Invalid Drive: c:\

Do I need to reinstall everything?
