Solve : Windows 10 USB install problems?

Answer»

Hello -

Built a gaming PC from scratch and having difficulty installing Windows from a bootable USB drive.

Specs:
MB - Gigabyte B450M DS3H v2
RAM - 16GB HyperX Fury DDR4
SSD - Samsung 500GB
CPU - AMD Ryzen
VGA - EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1660

On boot, the BIOS recognizes the USB drive but the Windows 10 install does not initiate. I've checked the files on the drive and everything seems to be in order (I compared the file structure and file names from an MS support article).

All the BIOS settings are default. The system recognizes the USB drive and also the target SSD (the HDD is disconnected as recommended).

When we boot it, we get the Gigabyte launch screen and then a blank screen with a blinking cursor in the upper left. We've let it SIT for up to an hour thinking maybe it needed time to read the files etc. before commencing but no luck.

Any advice appreciated!
BenHow was the USB STIK CREATED ? ?Either you did not choose to boot from the USB in the BIOS or the Windows is not formatted correctly. Try to create a bootable USB again and check the settings in BIOS.
