Solve : Windows NT 4.0 Sp6a user?

Answer»

I am a windows NT latest version 4.0 sp 6A user and I am in trouble.

I want to install NT on a new computer and still run my software (that needs NT)
But I cannot find a place where I can download an installable version of the operatingsystem.

How can I continue? If you need a copy of Windows NT 4 I suggest you go buy it. We can't help you FINDING a downloadable version since such version would be pirated.
You can find original Windows NT install discs for cheap on both Ebay and Amazon to name a few.hello,
I was not PLANNING to steal it but I want to legally buy the NT 4.0 version. so thank you for the suggestion.
I was trying to find them but could not (until now)

Any ideas as how to come to an installation with NT4.0 on a XP machine?Ahh okay we're on the same page then.
Is the NT 4 installation going to replace XP or coexist with it?The program running on the pc now need to run under NT.
I cannot buy any PC with an NT operating system anymore so,
I have to buy a new PC without operating system (or if that is better) buy a PC with XP (pro or home?) and co-install NT on it.
I do not know what is best
maybe you have an idea about that?

The software running on NT is production steering software CONTROLLING weighing systems, valves, stirrers, mixers and so onAre you sure the software needs to run on NT 4? XP is based on NT so it might be able to run it. I think it's something worth testing if you have access to a computer with XP.Hi,
Well I am sure it will run on XP but the supplier will not support it anymore if I let it run on XP. furthermore I am not sure that I will stay out of trouble if i am running on XP with this program.
The program is a productionsteering program with control over weighingstations, valves recipes pumps and fillingmachines.

The supplier has made an upgrade for XP (without any added FUNCTIONALITY) and wants a very high price for that.
On top of that I will have to upgrade to Vista as soon as Bill does not support XP anymore.
greetings,
Ruud
