Solve : Windows Vista 32 bit USB doesn't work? |
|
Answer» Hey all, just got a new 4g USB flash DRIVE, but sadly it doesn't work on my computer. Most flash drives don't need any drivers to be separately installed under XP, or Vista. The computer is vista, and it says it sees the flash drive, but there appropriate software to run it isn't installed. I try to go through the steps to find it and vista can't find anything. Quote Most flash drives don't need any drivers to be separately installed under XP, or Vista. This is what I know. Quote but there appropriate software to run it isn't installedWhat is the exact message, and at what point does it come up?Have you got all your Vista updates ? ? When first released Vista did not support U3 which is a security feature...but also allows apps to run right from the drive. Check the Vista update page... The other option would be to do a full format of it on the machine that sees it to remove the U3 feature. |
