Solve : windows xp installation error?

Answer»

here i got a problem , when i go to installation, first shows press any KEY to boot from CD, if i press any key there is no responseAre you using a USB KEYBOARD, or a standard (older style) PS/2 keyboard?

Possible causes:
USB Keyboard support not enabled in BIOS, or is not supported without driver assistance at all.
PS/2 Keyboard is plugged into the PS/2 Mouse PORT, or vice/verse (Its my understanding that WINDOWS will figure this for you with hardware detection, but, it wouldent help pre-OS boot)
Epic failure of some random program/hardware driven component. USER Wrote (In mistaken PM) :

What happens if you don't press any key? Does the system boot up normally?
