Solve : wireless internet on my dell laptop?

Answer»

I have acquired an older Dell Latitide D400 laptop and I am trying to get it up and running. I installed windows XP on it and I would LIKE to connect to the internet wirelessly. I would like some flexibility on my wireless CONNECTING. I would like to ONE USE " hot spots" and also use a list of wireless connections available. Does it require a wireless internet card? Do I have one? What is the name of it? where do I find this info? (easily and so that I can understand it). How do I set this laptop up to connect wirelessly. Maybe I need drivers? if so can you help with that? Don't know where to start or what and how to do it? Any help would be GREATLY appreciateld. Thanks

Product summary CNET's Editor's Choice
The good: Excellent performance for its class; great keyboard and screen; versatile design; built-in wireless networking........

Since you install Windows XP, I would head over to Device Manager and look for any Yellow Question or Exclamation Marks. Post back with the results.
