Answer» Open another Firefox browser within a Firefox tab or browser by adding the below command in your URL bar.
chrome://browser/content/browser.xul
I couldn't think of a real use for this, especially since you can't open tabs within the browser within a browser, but it's still fun. Hmmm, I discovered that I can open tabs within the browser within a browser. But, as you said, I see no real use for this. It just takes up more space at the top of your SCREEN.
Edit: other observations: This can be done in layers, or multiple levels; in other words, a browser within a browser within a browser, etc. The home page in any of these browser windows created by opening a browser within a browser is the Mozilla Firefox Start Page. And, switching between tabs in a sub-level browser window does not change the URL shown in the web address box.
Interesting but worthless. MUA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAA!!!
Heh Dilbert. Was going to see if more windows could be opened but looks like 4 is the MAX. I opened 5... but stopped because I was at 100% CPU and 100,000KB Memory usage for FF alone. I opened 5... but stopped because my MONITOR screen was full and I couldn't see the web address box to try another one. COLComputer geeks are the boredest people ever...I opened 9 before Firefox almost stopped responding. Firefox was using 207,224 KB of memory and about 97% of my CPU.Just CURIOUS. What size monitor do you have and what is your setting for resolution? I have a 17" monitor set at 1280 by 1024 pixels.Haha, Dilbert is right. It just kind of sits and thinks (Vista screen shots remove the mouse, so you cant see it)

Right about what, 5 layers being the limit? Not true for everyone; Kip went to 9. I think I can go more than 5 but have to change resolution to see what's happening. Haven't tried that yet.Quote from: soybean on April 12, 2007, 08:34:37 PMQuote from: Zylstra on April 12, 2007, 08:22:18 PMHaha, Dilbert is right.
